Job Description
As a Data Analysis - Accounting MIS professional, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data and technology to support the accounting and financial operations of the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide valuable insights and assist in making informed business decisions. You will collaborate with accounting teams, to ensure accurate and efficient reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Data Collection: Gather financial and accounting data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and financial systems.
Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial data using statistical techniques and tools. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to uncover insights and provide recommendations.
Reporting: Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and key metrics effectively. Present data analysis results to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Process Improvement:. Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Data Integrity and Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by performing regular data validation checks and implementing appropriate controls.
System Support: Collaborate with Accounting team and enhance the accounting management information system (MIS). Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in data analysis, accounting, and MIS. Continuously improve your skills and knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of data-driven decision-making processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel & Tableau software
Experience with accounting systems and financial management software.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and understanding of financial operations.
Professional certifications in data analysis, accounting (e.g., CPA), or related fields are desirable.
