Job Overview
Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment where delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. The Financial Analyst role supports Central Accounting and Tax Compliance by performing month-end activities, preparing Flux analysis, and ensuring appropriate financial policies and procedures are in place.
Responsibilities
• Perform and support month-end activities, including closing sub-ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet account analysis.
• Prepare month-end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts and share with stakeholders along with analysis on reasons for changes.
• Demonstrate proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and apply this expertise to recognize complex issues and develop resolution or consistently consult with leadership to achieve resolution.
• Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and work on process improvements.
• Responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations and highlighting and taking necessary action upon issues appropriately.
• Interact and work closely with auditors on audit-related queries and ensure smooth completion of audits.
• Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control, and get alignment of improvements/changes with stakeholders.
• Perform and support new business/system launches including UAT of accounting entries and financial reporting.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• CA with 0-4 years of post-qualification experience in Month-end closing of Books of accounts/working on various sub-ledgers/Accounting Knowledge/Balance Sheet Reconciliation, GST/VAT (Indirect tax), and Reporting activities.
