Job Description
Focus on financial analysis and modeling to assist in vetting new project opportunities, designing investment structures, and working with investors.
In addition, the analyst will work with the legal, business development and technical teams to vet new projects and/or market opportunities.
Requirements
• The candidate will be exposed to a variety of projects at different stages of the investment cycle (sourcing, analyzing, structuring, portfolio management and exit) as well as varying levels of details (strategic, policy, economic as well as day-to-day management of the portfolio assets)
• The candidate will be required to understand complex mathematical and legal concepts and produce outputs which be easily understood by senior management
• Assisting in the valuation process of consolidated funds with review of existing models
• In-depth examination of the investment portfolio to identify savings and other value enhancements
• Providing relevant due diligence support throughout the transaction process
• Compiling research on competitor investment and the market as a whole
• Preparing presentations to be delivered to the senior investment team
• New Project Evaluation: Works closely with marketing, business development, and policy teams to evaluate new markets. Drawing from various investment fund requirements, develops new product offerings and sets the boundaries for project development negotiations
• Research: Research available incentive programs and SREC pricing trends in various states and countries for commercial and utility-scale PV projects
Experience in years: 1 to 2 years
