Job Description
The opportunity:
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to drive Statutory audits & Close activities of different legal entities in compliance with local regulatory requirements. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations.
Responsibilities:
End-to-end ownership of close activities & statutory audits for all the legal entities assigned with diverse natures by working closely with external auditors.Preparation of Financial Statements as per accounting standardsCollaboration with Controllers and other stakeholders to ensure complete analysis of the Financial statements.Standardization and automation of close processes and all the audit schedules and audit processes for the scope of entitiesEnd-to-end knowledge of accounting processes, and accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP, and other accounting frameworks)Proficient in understanding of Statutory Reporting process, GAAP Bridging & Financial statement preparation.Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities.Identifies issues and proposes solutions.
Trial Balance analysis & support Close activities during month end, quarter end and year end close of USGAAP & Local GAAP books.
Education and Experience Required:
First-level university degree focused on business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MBA) preferred.Typically, 4+ years of experience as a financial analyst, or controller.Typically experienced in more than one finance function.A previous experience in one of the BIG 4 will be a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.Strong technical aptitude relating to accounting systems; (SAP S/4HANA) preferred.Strong analytical skills.Strong business application skills (e.g., S4, Microsoft Excel).Strong communication and influencing skills.Excellent teamwork skillsGood business acumenKnowledge of US GAAP & IFRSAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.
