Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze balance sheet and income statement variances by legal entity.
Prepare various analysis reports and detailed schedules to be submitted to corporate/other stakeholders on an ongoing basis Meets with organizational unit/department managers to discuss legal entity variances and establish process for effective and timely communication.
Determine proper accounting treatment for various non-recurring intercompany transactions such as dividends paid, dividends received, capital contributions, loans etc. Identify and proactively resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors at a legal entity level. Handle special areas of accounting like cost allocations, stock comp etc.
Handle legal entity mergers/dissolutions or investment transfers Application of IFRS/local GAAP in resolving issues Manage various ad hoc and regular queries.
