Location: Pune, Kalyani Nagar (Hybrid – Remote + Office Visits)

At Karnani, we provide housing solutions for students and professionals across the UK, and we’re scaling fast. Now, we need a finance lead who won’t just process numbers but will transform how we handle money, compliance, and financial operations.
This is NOT a routine accounting job. If you are looking for a back-office finance role, this is not for you. We need someone the following persona.
1: You should challenge us and introduce strategies we haven’t thought of yet.
2: You believe in efficiency and financial tools, not manual work.
3: You won’t have a team under you; you’ll be expected to take full ownership of finance.
4: You’ll deal with international vendors, suppliers, and clients through emails and verbal discussions.
5: You should aim to understand international financial compliance and always be willing to upskill.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
1: Own & Optimize Financial Operations – You will manage bookkeeping, AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
2: Onboard & Implement Financial Systems – Identify and integrate better financial tools to optimize processes.
3: Work on Financial Fundamentals – Structure company finances to support growth, profitability, and compliance.
4: Strategic Finance Leadership – Work directly with the Director to shape financial strategies and improvements.
5: Vendor & International Client Management – Negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and global partners (strong email & verbal skills required).
6: Taxation & Compliance Learning – Understand and apply international compliance, tax laws, and financial regulations.
7: Be Productive & Self-Driven – You will have full independence in your role—no one will micromanage you.

Work Structure & Location
Location: Pune, Kalyani Nagar (Hybrid)
This is NOT a remote-only role. You will need to visit the office as required for financial reviews and key meetings. If you are planning to relocate after receiving an offer, DO NOT apply. We need candidates already based in Pune.

Salary & Compensation
₹55,000 – ₹75,000 per month (INR) + Performance Bonuses
International Equivalent: £30,000 – £40,000 per year (for UK market)
