We’re looking for a dynamic Financial Controller to lead our Financial and Revenue Accounting function. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive technical excellence, streamline processes, and elevate efficiency across TVNZ. From owning statutory reporting and audits to managing direct taxation and cashflow, you’ll be at the heart of financial decision-making in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
The opportunity - Te tūranga
In a key leadership role as Financial Controller reporting to GM Financial Operations, you will
Lead the Financial Accounting and Revenue Accounting function, providing technical and accounting support and driving process improvements and efficiencies.
Management of the statutory reporting, audit and month end close process.
Management of direct taxation and cashflow across the business
Supporting the GM Financial Operations and CFO with technical accounting advice and guidance and project work as required.
Ownership of the Balance sheet and integrity of the general ledger.
What we're looking for - Tā mātou e kimi nei
To be successful in this role, we are looking for
5yrs+ PQE in financial accounting, preferably in large & complex organisations
Degree qualified, Charted Accountant (or international equivalent)
Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work through and understand complex process flows.
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to create high performing teams.
Excellent technical accounting skills including a working knowledge of IFRS and its business application.
Strong communication skills, both with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Demonstrated competence in continuous improvement.Proven ability to work under pressure
