Job Description
River Edge Analytics is seeking a Finance Controller for their US based client with at least 5 years of experience. The person will be responsible for the entire Finance house of our US based client, reporting directly to the Director/ CFO.
Responsible to maintain accounts per US GAAP , handling a team of 10+
Co-develop and administer internal control policies and appropriate accounting policies , including revenue recognition, expense accruals, and depreciation and amortization.
Co-develop and implement all required internal controls on cost/ expenses , including expense authorization, cash limits, access controls, and PO management, and provide KPIs demonstrating adherence to policies and controls.
Co-develop appropriate business policies , including spending limits, and provide KPIs demonstrating adherence to policies and procedures.
Maintain financial books by posting daily/monthly journal entries, balancing and reconciling account balances, and ensuring compliance with GAAP requirements.
Provide financial and management reporting , including board presentation by publishing periodic financial reports, operational KPIs, and location-specific operational scorecards.
Administer adherence to compliance requirements , including supporting the annual financial audit, quarterly/annual tax returns, and required business/tax/legal permits and licenses.
Support accounts receivable management by interfacing with the RCM team to develop and administer AR policies , tracking and reporting accurate receivable balance, reserves, and write-off, and reporting key receivable metrics.
Manage vendor relationships and accounts payable by negotiating key vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms of vendor contracts, and managing payables per accounting policies and internal controls.
Provide banking , credit cards, and other financing partner support by managing daily cash movements, maintaining compliance and reporting requirements of banks, and providing daily and monthly cash and bank management reports.
Transition clients’ books from Quickbooks to Sage Accounting software
Prepare top management dashboards, Revenue analytics reports & Cost control reports.
Coordinate with the CPA for filing the annual tax returns.
Risk Management:
Coordinate with the brokers in getting annual renewal of commercial and other insurance.
Responding to client queries and ensuring clients needs are addresses responsibly and reliably and timely striving to meet/ exceed clients expectations
The Financial Planning and Analysis Support role involves preparing periodic budgets and business forecasts , implementing budget rollouts, and monitoring performance.
The role also requires providing analytics, KPIs, and management reports, including actual to budget variance, revenue analytics, and location wise performance scorecards .
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
3 to 7 years Financial Accounting, Reporting and Cashflow Management experience.
Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills.
Minimum Two (2) years previous experience in US Accounting
Excellent client communication and presentation skills.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Independent working, Trouble shooting and Go to skills is big plus.
Knows Advanced excel and other data analysis/ reporting tools.
CA / CA inter preferred.
