We are a growth-oriented company and after many years of success in the Australian market, we are currently expanding into the USA, where we are establishing a customer service and manufacturing facility to offer the same amazing products and service to a new, exciting and much larger market.
To continue our growth, an exciting opportunity is now available for a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to lead our Finance Team based out of our office in Smeaton Grange, Sydney. If you are driven to perform and have professional pride, then this role will be for you!
Core responsibilities and opportunities:
Your scope of responsibility will be for a broad range of accounting duties that will expand in line with the anticipated growth of the company. You will be responsible for:
The oversight of all relevant team resource planning, recruitment, performance management and training for Finance, Purchasing and HR departments.
The management and development of operating procedures and best practices to ensure maximum efficiency amongst the team.
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement amongst all team members.
Professional and effective communication with all stakeholders, not limited to directors, finance team, other management, outside contractors (suppliers).
The oversight of all daily financial operations, including but not limited to, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, tax compliance and all other administrative and compliance obligations.
The management of all financial and company periodic obligations, such as insurances, workers compensation and other various service providers.
Assisting the primary Easy Signs contact with any financial aspects relating to our landlord/property management relationship and incidents.
Collaborating with the leadership team on a weekly basis to assist with the growth ambitions of the company including providing strategic financial advice to the other key management personnel.
The management and continual improvement of all financial and related software systems within the group.
The preparation of month end financial reporting in collaboration with external accountants.
The documentation and file management of all relevant functions within the team.
The preparation and management of government body projects and relationships with regard to grants and assistance programs.
Other ad-hoc duties as required.
About you:
Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
Significant experience in senior financial management roles, demonstrating expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Experience with managing multiple legal entity structures, including compliance with audit, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Experience in high volume, fast paced environments.
Xero experience is essential (Google Workspace, Tanda, Dext and ApprovalMax experience are highly desirable).
Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software and a love of the cloud.
High organisational skills, with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and embracing continuous improvement.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
