Role - Lead financial Reporting role
Exp - 3+ years exp as a Chartered Accountant
Location - Mumbai
Must have - CA Qualified
Notice Period - Max 30 days
Job Description/Deliverables/KPI:
Financial Accounting, book closing and reporting ;
• Design and plan month/quarter closing schedule, develop check-list for closing activities and ensure adherence by BU finance teams.
• Perform procedure to consolidate 35+ legal entities consolidation including intercompany eliminations, profit elimination, FCTR reconciliation , Minority interest working etc.
• Execute quarter and annual audit activities like ESOP/Actuarial Valuations, Physical verification, Impairment working etc.
• Manage and maintain the Group chart of accounts across accounting platforms and company code (SAP, E-Cons etc).
• Prepare P&L and Balance sheet schedules (Debtors Ageing, Inventory Ageing, AP and AR, Fixed Assets Register, Capex Report, Line item wise expenses) for analysis and reporting.
• Prepare month/quarter financial statements including segment financials from consolidation tool as per SEBI regulations
Statutory Audit and Board meeting deliverables:
• Plan and drive India entity statutory audit as per local accounting standards.
• Coordinate with Auditors across various Legal Entities annual audit.
• Facilitate audit readiness and responses to audit queries.
• Work closely with auditors for audit deliverables- Audit committee presentation etc.
• Preparation of Board meeting deliverables like Director financials, Related party report etc.
Internal Controls, Risk and Assurance:
• Work closely with the Vedanta MAS team/internal auditors. Work constructively towards addressing issues and gaps identified by the MAS/ internal auditors.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Monthly balance sheet review and update on any exposure
Processes and Central Support
• Support M&A team in special project like Fund raise, business acquisition and divestment
• Support FP&A and IR teams with required data for management commentary.
• Work closely with Direct Tax team of the company for Tax accruals and payments and work on reduction of effective tax rate.
• Support Tax teams in Income tax and GST audits.
• Support business team with required data for Tender/Bidding purposes.
• Document all processes in the finance function, including revenue recognition processes and develop internal checks.
• Lead finance section of Annual Report of the company including FD&A and Statutory section
Profile of Candidate:
• Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience
Must have:
• Experience with a manufacturing industry or Big 4 Audit Firms.
• Working knowledge of SAP and SAP Implementation.
• Experience of Accounting and Financial Book closing.
• Experience of Cost center accounting and controlling.
• Experience of Statutory Audits and dealing with Statutory Auditors.
• Exposure of corporate book closing
Good to have
• Clear communication and attitude to support Business/solve accounting issues.
• Exposure of working with and influencing multiple stakeholders
