Academic Knowledge are looking for engineering graduates with a passion for the subject and strong academic skills to join our expanding team of engineering academic researchers. With your engineering knowledge (be it at BSc, M.Eng, or PhD level) there are students who would benefit from the engineering insights and academic knowledge that you can offer them.
We welcome new researchers with degrees in civil and structural engineering who have knowledge in mechanics, engineering materials and mathematics. Knowledge and access to Matlab and CAD is preferred, but not essential.
Working as a freelance writer for Academic Knowledge you will be writing academic pieces to support current students in their academic career. Often they are confused about a process or a particular scenario and they need a graduate engineer to explain it to them. This is done by you writing a model answer for them that addresses their concern or assignment question.
The amount of work you do is up to you; some engineers work with us as full-time freelance writers whereas others use it as either a mechanism to ‘keep fresh and up to date’ with engineering developments or as a means of saving. Some engineers use working for Academic Knowledge to gain extra income while working on a PhD or another degree. We do not mind how much work you decide to do – we merely give you the means by which to share your engineering knowledge with others.

Requirements
We require all our researchers to have a recognised university degree to at least a 2:1 level. The reality is that many of our researchers are qualified at Masters level and above, and have extensive experience of working in Engineering. We welcome new researchers with degrees in civil engineering. Knowledge and access to Matlab and CAD is preferred, but not essential.
To be eligible to apply for this vacancy you must have:

A minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent (60%+)
Excellent written English skills
