Job description, work day and responsibilities

Lead and guide the team to meet hospital goals and give the best care.
• Help staff learn and grow by arranging training and educational programs.
• Review how well each team member is doing and offer advice.
• Make sure there are enough staff to look after patients safely.
• Keep patients and staff in the ICU safe and comfortable.
• Work with other teams to keep the hospital clean and safe.
• Encourage everyone to talk openly and share ideas.
• Hold regular meetings with staff to discuss important matters.
• Help everyone understand what to do in emergencies.
• Keep track of how well we're taking care of patients and suggest ways to improve.
