The Role

We’re building a next-generation platform for the fashion and lifestyle space, using some of the latest technologies to deliver a holistic, real-world shopping experience—virtually. This will be on the edge of technology and user experience, merging multi-surface integrations, AI-driven personalization, and immersive interaction.

With Growify Digital’s deep penetration in the Indian luxury & high-AOV fashion ecosystem, this platform will launch into a ready, high-value client base—making adoption faster, feedback sharper, and success more likely from day one.

This is a rare chance to lead the build of a tool that can redefine how e-commerce is done online, with Shopify apps, browser extensions, AI-driven recommendation engines, and scalable data infrastructure—all under one roof.

What You’ll Build
• Multiple Shopify Apps (embedded & standalone) for discovery, personalization, and advanced store integration
• Browser Extensions (Chrome, Edge, Safari) delivering in-context shopping experiences
• Core Web Platform with Single Sign-On across all front ends
• Rule-based Recommendation Engine, evolving into AI/ML personalization
• Centralized, Scalable Database for user, product, and behavioral data
• Data Cleaning & Pipeline Systems for ML training and analytics
• API Layer for seamless integration across all surfaces and services

Key Responsibilities
• Architect & develop the core platform for scale, speed, and security
• Lead the technical roadmap from MVP to large-scale adoption
• Recruit, mentor, and manage the tech team as Acting CTO
• Ensure best-in-class user experience and tech performance across devices
• Transition from rules-based systems to AI/ML for personalization and recommendations
• Collaborate closely with product and business teams to align with market needs

Required Skills
• Full-stack expertise: React/Vue + Node.js/Python (or equivalent)
• Database architecture: SQL & NoSQL, large-scale data modeling
• API mastery: REST, GraphQL, OAuth/SSO
• Shopify app development: Storefront API, Admin API
• Browser extension development: Chrome/Edge/Safari APIs
• AI/ML integration: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) & DevOps best practices

Preferred
• Experience in fashion/lifestyle e-commerce or AR/VR tech
• Knowledge of computer vision for virtual try-on
• Prior CTO or startup tech leadership experience
