Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Finance & Accounts to join our top management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial performance of the company, including profitability, risk management, working capital management, and statutory compliance. With specific focus on credit control and receivables management, foreign currency risk management, and reducing financial costs.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the company's financial performance by managing profitability, risk management, working capital management, and statutory compliance.
- Play a pivotal role in strategic and business decisions, formulate annual business plans and support business to achieve top-line, bottom-line and working capital targets.
- Design, develop, and implement company policies and internal controls for the smooth functioning of the company's business.
- Compile and present insightful and analytical reports to various stakeholders.
- Conduct regular and effective reviews across the company to ensure statutory compliance, compliance to company policies and processes, and effective execution of the company's strategic and annual plans.
- Lead, mentor, develop and manage a team of professionals to ensure that the accounts and finance department functions at the highest standard of efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee credit control and receivables management, foreign currency risk management, and reducing financial costs.
- Ensure statutory compliance in all financial and accounting matters.
- Manage the company's financial resources, including budgets, cash flow, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to the senior management team to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance and accounting teams.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
