Job Description
Job Purpose: General Manager helps Chief Executive Officer with administrative and financial tasks, including invoicing, budget drafting, issuing purchase orders, and implementing and managing procurement processes. JOB SPECIFICATION:
• Required Education Level: Chartered Accountant.
• Required abilities, skills, and knowledge: Good Analytical skills, knowledge of retail, experience in buying and category management, brand, and relationship management experience
Key Responsibilities & Key Performance Indicators:
Financial Assurance and Working Capital Management:
• Overall responsible for Accounts and control function
• Planning, developing, and effectively implementing accounting systems including Sales, Budget, Fixed Assets, Tax Audit, Costing, etc. using ERP or otherwise.
• Working Capital Management
• To provide continuous support to CFO
• Ensure effective internal control in place
Accounts
• Finalization of Annual Accounts
• Finalization of Quarterly Results / Board Meeting papers.
• Responsible for adherence to various Accounts and Disclosure standards.
• Effective interfacing with statutory and internal auditors.
• To coordinate with the location head and its team for effective implementation control of fund flow.
• To monitor and ensure timeliness and integrity of data emanating from various sources in ERP or otherwise
Costing
a) To take effective steps and enable cost savings.
Budgetary Control
• To review annual budgets from Departments and other functions and consolidation thereof.
• To implement a monitoring system in ERP providing regular feedback to Location Heads and category heads on the position of compliance of budgets
Fixed Assets Accounts & InsuranceMIS ReportsAudit and TaxationTDSSystem & ERP
• Responsible for maintaining and improving systems and procedures in accounts functions and monitoring the effectiveness of the same.
• To implement new ERP and to bring continuous improvement in ERP.
