ISS Governance India is actively hiring a GL Accountant for Mumbai (Goregaon East) location.
Responsibilities
• 2 - 5 years of accounting experience in a multi-national organization (OR)
• 2 - 5 years of experience in accounting functions such as general ledger accounting, book keeping, accruals, prepaid amortizations.
• Experience in fixed asset reconciliation, depreciation, compiling data for statutory auditors, accounts finalization and month end close process.
• Assistance in accounting duties for India and EMEA markets.
• Reviewing and approving invoices, expenses, Posting and processing journal entries in accounting system.
• Prepare Balance sheet reconciliation, MIS and bank reconciliations.
• Handle projects, prepare reports and financial analysis as requested by managers from EMEA/USA.
• Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
• Independently handle month-end closing tasks.
• Finalization up to the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to analyze trial balance, look for corrections and make the necessary adjusting entries.
• Posting and processing of journal entries to the accounting system.
• Assist in reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned.
• Transact with banks, government representatives, and suppliers.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with accounting software.
• Good command of the English language (verbal and written).
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent organizing abilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Inter CA with articleship experience would be a plus.
• CA preferred but not mandatory.
Good To Have
• Knowledgeable of Indian / International taxation (statutory submissions, filing dates, and tax calculations).
• Exposure in India and EMEA markets.
• Experience of NetSuite.
