Job title: Head of Accounts & Finance

Roles and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Financial Accounting: To lead and supervise the preparation of monthly accounts. Ensure appropriate charts of accounts and cost centers/categories are set up to be able to generate good quality reports. Supervise and guide accounting staff suitably, such that books of accounts are updated on a daily basis.
• Banking: To work closely with banks on debt facilities (Term and Working Capital), provide necessary reports, liaise for ongoing banking transactions and treasury management
• Cashflow: To have an oversight of the cash flows of the business - both actuals, as well as forecasts. In managing cash flows, it will be imperative to keep a close watch on the receivables, and to plan vendor payments such that the overall business needs are met.
• Costing: Be involved in setting up adequate systems and processes to capture detailed product costing, and work closely with the management team in providing insights as to product profitability and cost saving opportunities.
• Management Reports: To prepare monthly management reports for all key decision makers
• Statutory Accounts: To lead preparation of annual statutory financial statements and related notes, in conjunction with the auditors
• Financial Analysis / Reporting: Prepare budgeting, financial analysis and reports. You will be required to work closely with the management team with respect to various operating financials, cost calculations, budgets and inputs from a commercial point of view.
• Taxation: To supervise and manage Direct & Indirect taxation, cross check calculations, undertake necessary filings and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• ROC Compliances: Work with the Company Secretary to comply with all ROC requirements
• Audits: Work closely with the internal and external auditors. Work constructively towards addressing issues and gaps identified by the auditors
• Planning and organization: Able to think ahead in order to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action. Prioritize and plan activities taking into account all the relevant issues and factors such as deadlines and resources.
