Accounts Payable Head
Location: Mumbai
Company Overview
A leading global market maker with offices across major financial hubs is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Head to support its APAC Finance team. This role will focus on Accounts Payable and Payroll functions, ensuring efficient financial operations and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Mumbai office is a newly established entity and is expected to experience significant growth in the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable:
- Oversee day-to-day invoice processing and supplier reconciliations.
- Manage payment processing for vendors, intercompany transactions, and brokerage settlements.
- Handle new vendor setup and maintain vendor master data.
- Manage corporate credit cards and expense claims.
- Assist in periodic statutory audits related to Accounts Payable.
Payroll:
- Coordinate with payroll providers and HR for accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Oversee payroll functions, including taxes, pensions, and compliance requirements.
- Manage payroll year-end activities and support variable pay processing.
- Provide payroll reports to HR and other internal departments as needed.
- Assist in statutory audits and ensure adherence to payroll regulations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree with 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll management.
- Strong understanding of risk controls and compliance in financial operations.
- Experience with payroll tax calculations, Provident Fund, and statutory obligations.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite is a plus.
- Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior experience in financial services or a strong interest in trading and global markets is beneficial.
