Designation: Head -Finance & Account (Group Position)
Department: Accounts / Finance
Position: - Operational, Strategy & Compliance
Reports to: CEO & Directors
JOB Purpose
i)Statutory, legal & financial compliance towards all Govt, non govt agencies
ii) Optimize the functioning of Accounts /finance team, Improve work efficiency
iii) Strategic & Operational actions to Improve Organization growth & Profitability.
Responsible towards entire finance, accounts & compliance responsibilities towards the group companies of ABC Chemicals Group (ABC Chemical Exports Pvt. Ltd. ABC Chemicals Pvt. Ltd, Vin Ads Advertising, Veetech Agencies, Branches & Subsidiaries in India & Abroad)
Accountability & reporting - CEO and Board of Directors & based in Mumbai.
Responsibilities:
A) Strategic – i) Propose & implement key operational Improvements in different work function within finance & account teams to improve their efficiencies. (People, systems, training).
ii) Suggest ways of Tax rationalization, optimization & implement upon mgt agreement.
iii)Relationship building with Financial Institutions & banks for better funding & bank Charge’s optimization. Ways to reduce cost of capital & ensure adequate funding for the business growth
iv)MIS Reporting at agreed intervals for Business management to take a decision.
v) corporate finance & funding arrangement via Banking & FI arrangements including Credit insurance, Bills factoring & L/c discounting, Buyers Credit facilities & methodologies
B) Operational – i) Structure hierarchical alignment of the account & finance teams to suit the Business needs & supervise their functioning on a day-to-day basis.
ii) Plan & manage all operational financial & accounts activities & organize periodical financial reports required for reviewing business activities with CEO & the board of directors, including finalizing Quarterly & annual Audited financials for Tax & compliance.
The Operational activities to be supervised & actively manage are as below,
a. Based on annual Sales forecast, prepare an overall Budget & funding provisions
b. Analyze and actively manage companies’ investments and liability
c. Determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each of the function in team
d. Track and ensure cash flow management is appropriate and sustainable.
e. Maintain and retain relationships with various Supply partners, service providers Financial Institutions, including banks, Auditors (C.A Firms), Insurance companies and any other such relevant institutions.
f. Assess the financial compliance of Branches, subsidiaries, investments & credibility mapping of Service providers, Supply partners, Customer premises.
g. Adhere to the law and company policies
h. Implement credit insurance facilities at lowest possible cost, for all possible unsecured credit been offered to customers in India & abroad to secure payments. In case of defaults ensure mechanism to recover via recovery agents or via Credit insurance facilities to maintain cash flow.
i. Team Building & grooming – Identify & map functional competence of team members & ensure Training, guidance & encouragement to build a strong & capable team.
Ideal Candidate –
i)Education – Chartered accountant
Add on – diploma / certification Taxation, Trade finance.
ii)Experience - Minimum 15 -17 years hands on Experience, handling Manufacturing or Merchant exporting trade house finance at Head finance position of a SME/ Mid-size company
iii)Languages – Marathi / Hindi & written communication fluency in English.
iv)Knowledge, understanding & relevant experience in handling,
a) Legal & Compliance – Indian Customs, excise laws, Export incentives idea, Corporate Taxation, other statutory compliances including ROC filings,
b) Operational- i) Corporate Finance (funding arrangements- banking & non-banking (FI)), short & long-term n INR & FCNR. ii)Need to have contacts in financial industry for Bills Factoring, L/c discounting via FI & develop Credit insurance for supporting international trade.
c) Commercial – Have the pulse of the financial market & quick learner
d) Communication – Supply Partners/ Principals, Bank, compliance (Govt / Non govt)

e) Positive & challenge accepting mindset, Team man as this role requires working with team & coordination with internal & external agencies & able to take work pressure & meet timelines.
Relevant IndustryExperience –Product Manufacturing / trading house / Exporting company
Who have handled or has appetite to handle larger revenues of over 250 Cr.?
Age Bracket - Between 38-45 Range.
From - Preferably from Mumbai / or settled in Mumbai for over 5-10 years.
