We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Accounting to lead our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of Bhavani Shipping. The Head of Accounting will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting processes, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Delegate tasks effectively and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
• Financial Strategy.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior accounting role within the shipping or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
