About the Role:

We’re searching for an experienced Accounts & Finance Head to join our team of high-performing professionals to help keep our finances insightful and instrumental to our continued success. The Accounts & Finance Head will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This seasoned strategist not only understands current accounting practices and trends, but has proven experience raising capital and adapting to change with changing business impacts. As a member of our senior management, he or she will be comfortable in a leadership role that demands clear communication and presentation skills.

Overview of the role.
• Plans, develops, organizes, implements direct and evaluates the Company's fiscal functions from every relevant perspective.
• Manage treasury, finance, accounting and compliance functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the Company assets.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and information reports.
• Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
• Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and reporting against the same

Key Responsibilities

· To support the Organization in developing finance organization strategy around corporate finance, finance operations and risk management

· Strategic partner to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and translate the overall corporate strategy into financial and business plans and projections

· Resource Allocation
• Work with the senior management to efficiently develop proposal budgets, provide access to project financial information, and manage contract/grant compliance and reporting
• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement.
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization
• Lead the development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project management, cross-team communications and workflow
• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
• Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company

· Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, and other relevant regulations

· Oversee and monitor effective tax strategies and Statutory and Government compliance GST, TDS, ROC etc; Manage the overall tax operations for timely delivery of all tax compliances - direct and indirect and as also minimize audit deficiencies.

· Develop appropriate key performance indicators to monitor and drive the financial performance of the organization; Work closely with business and functional leaders to develop financial forecasts, reports and operational goals

· To prepare for board approval regarding budgets, periodical reviews and operational performance.

· Represent the Company externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations and also manage vendor relationships

Pre-requisites/key characteristics and skills required:

· Chartered Accountant / MBA with 12 years’ experience post qualification years in business with proven financial skills.

· Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role at a leadership level with a experience in driving high performing team.

· Experience in similar industry will be an added advantage.

· Strong proficiency with Financial Systems

· Has a deep understanding of Financial Operations and is able to identify early indicators of risks

· Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate challenging messages to stakeholders
