• This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to help the bank to continue to evolve its focus on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)
• You’ll be able to use your consultancy and relationship building skills to manage multiple stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority and drive accountability for action from a DE&I perspective
• It’s a chance to have a tangible effect on driving DE&I within the bank in India, putting your existing skills to the test while developing and advancing your career
• This role is available at director level
What you'll do
In this key role, you’ll design, support, and deliver programmes, frameworks, and methodologies that will drive the inclusive cultural proposition for the bank and establish us as a key employer choice for diverse communities. You’ll lead the India DE&I strategic agenda for the region, manage the resulting set of initiatives, and drive inclusion and diversity goals and targets through business stakeholders. As such, you’ll translate the global inclusion and diversity strategy into regional delivery priorities.
You'll act as an expert in your area, creating and leading specific initiatives and engaging with senior stakeholders and business leaders. You'll deliver the bank wide DE&I strategy, and initiatives in India by bringing in and applying market leading intelligence aligned to our purpose.
You’ll also:
• Support the application of innovative ways to deliver the DE&I strategy in India and influence decision making as an inclusion expert
• Be a key expert regarding strands of diversity and associated awards, indexes, and vendors
• Support the organisation's social purpose and reputation by contributing thought leadership to trusted external partners
• Lead on relevant DE&I inclusion strategies partnering with other functions in NatWest
• Create, maintain, and utilise internal and external research, networks, and relationships to validate and shape future plans, support diversity and inclusion activities, and benchmark progress
The skills you'll need
You'll need expert knowledge of DE&I together with a strong consultative approach and skillset. You’ll have knowledge of managing reputation, employment law practices, and legislation. You’ll also need the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
As well as this, you’ll demonstrate:
• Experience of working in DE&I, organisational change, and HR, and managing employee relations
• Strong consultancy, coaching, and judgement skills
• Experience of developing and delivering strategy
• Strong communication, group facilitation, and presentation skills to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
