Head - Plant Finance and Accounts
Key Responsibility:
Treasury:
• Evaluate the organizations short-, medium-, and long-term funding needs and recommend appropriate financing options.
• Develop and implement cost-effective alternative funding mechanisms in collaboration with the CFO to improve efficiency within the corporate finance function.
• Track and manage the working capital cycle to maintain a healthy liquidity position.
• Ensure optimal deployment of funds, including prudent investment of surplus funds to maximize returns within approved risk limits.
• Arrange and manage funding from banks and financial institutions at competitive terms to support working capital and project financing requirements.
Tax
• Responsible for Direct & Indirect Tax.
Budgeting & Reporting
• Drive the annual budgeting exercise, sharing prior-year data and analytical insights with the CFO and Business Unit finance leaders.
• Develop detailed budgets by location and team, including projected profitability, manpower planning, and workforce composition.
• Monitor actual performance against budget, and provide fortnightly/monthly variance reports to CXOs and Business Unit heads, highlighting key deviations.
MIS & Statutory
• Oversee and validate month-end closing activities as per the defined checklist, coordinating collection of required documentation from the team.
• Compile and support data requirements for internal and statutory audits, income tax filings, and tax assessments, and address queries from auditors and tax authorities.
• Prepare and assist in presenting MIS, budget, and fund flow reports to the budgeting lead.
• Compile and analyze monthly financial performance.
Qualification:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with specialization in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, with exposure to manufacturing or plant operations.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
