Shuttering Carpenter Job Opportunity
Your Role:
As a Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and dismantling formwork (shuttering) used in concrete construction.
• Responsibilities:
• Interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.
• Identify required formwork dimensions and materials.
• Fabricate timber, plywood, or metal formwork.
• Install and secure formwork accurately.
• Utilize spirit levels, plumb bobs, and measuring tapes for precision.
• Ensure the strength of formwork to support wet concrete.
• Collaborate with steel fixers and masons during concrete pouring.
• Safely remove shuttering without causing damage to the concrete.
• Adhere to site safety protocols and utilize PPE.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Requirements
• Education Background: Open to all categories
• Experience: Minimum 0.6 months of experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
• Age: No restrictions
• Skills Required:
• Knowledge of various formwork systems (timber, steel, aluminum)
• Proficiency in using hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and power tools
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Teamwork and coordination with site engineers and laborers
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations
