Seattle Yacht Club is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual for a HR Generalist/Staff Accountant. The HR Generalist/Staff Accountant is responsible for day to day HR and accounting duties assigned to them.
Who we are:
Founded in 18+2, Seattle Yacht Club is one of our country's most active and long-established yacht clubs. With facilities ranging from the historic mainstation on Portage Bay, to ten outstations located along the shores of Washington and British Columbia. While the history of the club is tied to the tradition of pleasure boating and yachting, the mainstation is a vital social center for club members. Members enjoy formal dining in the Ward Room and a very active casual dining area in the Marine Room, as well as banquets throughout the mainstation. The club is open for food and beverage services seven day a week.
General Duties:
- Enter/process US and Canadian payrolls on scheduled day.
- Maintain employee records, including scanning any new documents into ADP and their employee files on SharePoint
- Monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Work on special accounting projects as assigned.
- Complete journal entries/ compose reports for month end and mid month
- First HR contact for the company
• Handle day to day HR matters, such as ADP troubleshooting, benefit additions/removals, maintaining records, hirings/terminations, background checks
• Correspond with our HR consulting agency for any HR related matters you need additional information on
• Complete any onboarding tasks for new employees that Managers have hired
- Maintain HR compliance for the company (up to date I-+’s, W-2’s)
- Maintain vacation accrual spreadsheet, keeping track of employee’s PTO
- Maintain Indeed account
• Pull resumes for managers to review
• Schedule/complete phone interviews
• Point of contact for candidates, report correspondence to managers
- Send employee hours reports to respective managers each morning
- Assist accounts receivable with certain tasks, such as member payments, adjustments
- Position has variability – HR can sometimes take a lot of time or very little time, depending on time of year, but you will be primarily completing Accounting tasks on a day to day basis
- May need to work overtime for certain deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
