CHEMRITE® Technologies manufactures and supplies a range of acrylic, polyurethane and epoxy compounds including decorative and protective coatings, pool coatings, corrosion, chemical & abrasion resistant coatings, anti-graffiti protection coatings, waterproofing membranes, waterstops, adhesives, paints, concrete repair systems, primers, sealers, flooring systems, concrete fillers, sealants and grouts for the building, construction, and industrials sectors.
CHEMRITE® Technologies was founded in Brisbane Australia in 2013 after years of experience in the application and formulation of chemically bound systems that required detailed formulations to address specific issues in the built and construction environments.
The founders of CHEMRITE® Technologies used their expert knowledge in material technology along with their vast application knowledge to formulate products that not only outperform competitive products but have also been designed to be easily used in residential, commercial and industrial applications.
About the Role
We are looking for an Industrial Chemist to assist us with manufacturing and R&D activities. As such, you will:
Be capable of working hands-on in the manufacturing process as well as in the lab.
Review current formulations and processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Formulate and develop new products.
Maintain product formulation databases.
Maintain and create product TDS and assist in creating/updating product SDS.
Implement quality control processes.
Manage raw materials and finished products inventory levels.
Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via email with internal and external customers.
Collaborate with the BD/sales team on product development/improvement and provide technical support, as needed.
About you
Ideally, you will possess:
A Qualification in Chemistry, or similar.
2+ years of experience in the formulation/manufacturing of Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers, and/or concrete protection and remediation products.
A self-driven personality to conduct R&D activities.
Strong communication skills; both verbally and in writing.
A top-quality- and customer-driven mindset to ensure products and services continuously meet customer needs.
Continuous improvement mentality to ensure products and services stay current.
Strong computer skills. As a minimum, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook will be required.
Good organization and time management skills.
