Professional Insights (PI) is a CPA Practice, we value the practice enforced by CPA Australia and conform to the regulation and standards of the ATO, ASIC and CPA Australia. Our practice has up to 30+ years of experience within this field.
We are looking for a dedicated Intermediate Accountant/ Accountant with at least 2 years of local experience, ideally in a Public Practice, with access to the ATO Portal (strong identity). This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about accounting and enjoys working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team, we also provide flexible in office arrangements for Days and Hours.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
Reconcile accounts and assist in the preparation of financial statements
Use ATO portal access to manage client interactions and lodgements
Liaise with the ATO and other stakeholders on compliance matters
Support the preparation of year-end accounts and business reports
Stay updated with changes in Australian tax legislation
Maintain clear and professional communication with clients
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in Australian accounting (preferably public practice)
ATO access (strong identity and lodgement experience required)
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MYOB
Strong understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organised
A genuine passion for the accounting profession
