Internal Accounting Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated Internal Accounting Manager to join our Finance team in Atlanta. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role. This position reports to the Controller and oversees general ledger, accounts payable, and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Oversee accounts payable, including vendor setup, payments, and inquiries.
Ensure accurate recording of cash receipts and conduct weekly A/R review meetings.
Provide financial and operational data, develop automated reports, and support business reporting.
Identify and implement process improvements in A/P, collections, and reporting.
Become a subject matter expert in ERP/Time & Billing software (Deltek Maconomy).
Support annual processes such as 1099 filings and budget data compilation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA license preferred.
7 years of accounting experience with 2 years in a supervisory role.
Understanding of billing and collections processes.
Experience with GL systems.
Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Problem solver who enjoys challenges.
