Junior Accountant Responsibilities
General Accounting & Bookkeeping:
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for the company, including bookkeeping of daily transactions, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Assist in bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow to ensure that financial records are accurate.
Taxation and Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of tax filings, such as GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws.
Support the Finance Team in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit & loss statement, and cash flow statement.
Financial Records & Documentation:
Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and vouchers, ensuring they are accurately recorded in accounting software.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements for internal reviews and regulatory filings.
Support to Finance & Accounts Team:
Support senior accountants in the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
Assist in maintaining petty cash records, ensuring proper documentation for small expenditures.
Help in tracking accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reports.
MCA Compliance Officer Responsibilities
MCA Filings and Statutory Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate filing of Annual Returns, Financial Statements, and other documents with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013.
Maintain registers and records as required under the law (e.g., register of members, director registers).
Maintain compliance with Corporate Governance standards and assist in preparing for Board Meetings, AGMs, and EGMs.
Corporate Governance & Legal Documentation:
Prepare Board Resolutions, AGM/EGM minutes, and ensure proper documentation of key decisions.
Liaise with legal advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure that corporate governance practices align with the regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management, highlighting key filings, deadlines, and areas of concern.
Ensure that all documents are up-to-date and compliant with the latest amendments to company laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Education: B. Com
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in MCA compliance or company secretarial roles, particularly in MCA filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, etc.).
Experience with bookkeeping, basic accounting functions, and familiarity with GST, TDS, and income tax.
Experience in handling compliance-related documentation and corporate governance practices is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or related field.
