Job Description:
We are looking for enthusiastic interns who can help us streamline our accounting process. You will be assisting the existing accounts team in day-to-day work. Based on your accounting prowess and knowledge, your stipend will be decided.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting various accounting activities. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and Excel spreadsheets
• Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and Excel spreadsheets
• Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making purposes.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process accounts payable invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and reconcile customer accounts.
Bank Reconciliation:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and financial records.
Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge in Zoho accounting software (preferable but not mandatory)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
