Job Description
We are hiring for a fresher commerce graduate in Chennai as a Junior Accountant:
Position: Junior Accountant (client facing)
Location: Chennai
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform general bookkeeping duties, such as recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and preparing balance sheets and income statements.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Maintain a system of financial controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Communicate with clients and vendors regarding financial matters, including invoices, payments, and disputes.
Assist in the preparation of payroll and employee benefits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting from a recognized institution.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports and budgets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations preferred but not mandatory.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary range: INR 1,20,000 - 2,00,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
