Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Record daily financial transactions in appropriate journals and ledgers.
Verify and reconcile balances to ensure accuracy.
Bookkeeping and Data Entry:Input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
Organize and maintain financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
Assist in preparing and processing employee payroll.
Financial Analysis Support:Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
Help identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.
Tax Compliance:Assist with tax-related activities, such as preparing tax returns and calculating tax liabilities.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
Assist in gathering documentation for audits or reviews.
Audit Assistance:Collaborate with auditors during internal or external audits.
Provide necessary financial information and supporting documentation.
Help ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Financial Administration:Process invoices, issue payments, and manage expense reimbursements.
Assist in budget preparation and tracking.
Maintain fixed asset records.
Compliance and Controls:Follow established internal controls and accounting policies.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Communication and Teamwork:Collaborate with team members and other departments to provide financial information and support.
Communicate with vendors, clients, and stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Contribute to cross-functional projects as needed.
Professional Development:Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends.
Participate in training programs and pursue professional certifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance is a plus.
Prior experience or internships in accounting or finance is desirable.
