Junior Accountant - BizDateUp

About the Role: As our Junior Accountant, you will support the accounting team in managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will play a vital role in day-to-day accounting tasks and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Support & Record Keeping:
• Assist with the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Transaction Management:
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Verify and process invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Assist in tracking and managing financial transactions and budgets.
Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing financial records for audit and review purposes.
• Help in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
Reporting & Analysis:
• Assist in preparing routine financial reports and summaries.
• Support the accounting team in analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and monthly closings.
Process Improvement:
• Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements within the accounting function.
• Assist with the development of efficient accounting procedures and practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role or relevant internship experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (highly desirable).
