We are hiring on behalf of our client, a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm in Mumbai, Maharashtra
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant who is willing to work in a CA firm environment. The candidate will manage end-to-end accounting, payroll, tax, compliance, and banking operations using Tally and other accounting tools.
Responsibilities:
Accounting (Tally):
• Data entry of invoices, collections, expenses, funds transfer, salary, tax payments, etc.
• Payroll processing from attendance to final payroll preparation and payment.
• Finalization of accounts and preparation of details for tax audits.
GST:
• Raising GST invoices and issuing debit/credit notes.
• GST payments and filing of monthly/quarterly returns independently.
• Tracking ITC-related issues and handling GST-related queries.
Income Tax:
• Payment of monthly TDS and filing of TDS returns.
• Computation and payment of advance tax.
• Filing the firm’s Income Tax Return (ITR).
Compliance:
• PF, ESIC, Professional Tax dues handling and filing of returns.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws.
Finance & Banking:
• Executing government net banking transactions.
• Obtaining online bank statements and handling fund transfers independently.
Qualifications:
• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience and currently willing to work in a CA firm.
Required Skills:
• Strong experience in Tally, GST, Payroll, Income Tax (TDS, advance tax, tax audit), and compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, statutory staff welfare).
• Good communication skills in English.
• Strong academic record and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a Chartered Accountant firm.
Preferred Skills:
• Deep knowledge of Tally from basic accounting entries to finalization (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Experience in extracting management information reports from Tally.
• Advanced GST handling in Tally, including filing returns and reconciling ITC.
• Payroll management, including PF, ESIC, PT deductions and related accounting entries.
• Handling bank operations, fund transfers, and inter-firm reconciliations.
• Experience in preparing TDS returns and tax audit details.
