The Job!
As a junior events assistant, you will report to the Director of Corporate Development and Events Management and will be supporting the planning and execution of two inter-provincial events. In addition to this, your typical day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist the events team with a high number of events
• Support with logistical and administrative tasks
• Respond to incoming emails and phone calls
• Manage event details including paperwork, scheduling, shipping event materials, and communicating with coworkers and vendors
• Be present at events to support operations

• Identify cost savings options that do not alter the member experience at events
• Ensure all items for events arrive on time
• Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to, event set up/tear down, registration, assisting with promotion, coordinating with facility staff
What you bring to the job
You are someone who can get the tasks done and are great at working with different types of teams. You are ready to hit the ground running and also come with the following qualifications:
• Post-secondary education or relevant experience in Event Management or Hospitality
• 1-3 Years of events experience (in-person and virtual) is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great communication skills, both verbal and written
• Keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Welcoming and personable personality
