Position: Junior/New Grad Marketing Accountant

Working within a team environment and reporting to the Director, Marketing the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring volumetric and financial accounting for Teine and third-party production. This position will be a 15-month contract position starting July 1, 2026.
Responsibilities:
Ensure complete and accurate recording of crude oil transactions per crude contracts and reconcile actual volumes per trading contracts.
Assist with month-end accruals, actualizations, and provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as necessary.
Perform pricing and volumetric confirmation with counterparties prior to settlement; liaise with traders to resolve customer disputes and send settlement statements to counterparties on time.
Maintain proper backups for audit trail and assist with gathering supporting documents and explanations for audit requests.
Participate in monthly financial reviews of tariffs, loss allowance, over/short positions, and volumetric performance tracking of all transportation and storage agreements.
Execute accurate invoices to customers and ensure billing compliance with contracts.
Liaise monthly with Operations management to review OPEX over short compared to budget and current forecast.
Deliver accuracy on all daily and month-end producer and shipper volumetric allocations and delivery splits.
Update daily pricing sheets and calculate monthly indexes.
Ensure month-end pipeline and rail volumes match the Shipper’s Balance Reports.
Provide support for new software implementation projects for marketing.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with marketing systems such as Qbyte, Metrix, and Petrotranz is an asset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external customers.
A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues within the accounting and marketing team.
