Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Kitchen Helper will play a vital role in supporting our culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn more about the food service industry.

Duties
• Assist in food preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients for meals.
• Help cooks with meal preparation tasks as directed, ensuring that all food items are ready for cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
• Stock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Support the culinary team during peak hours by helping with various kitchen tasks.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is a plus.
• A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen setting.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.
