PURPOSE:
Serves as a Lead Flight Attendant (FA) to accomplish duties with 14 CFR Part 135, Operations Specifications, and company training program requirements. The FA conducts flight attendant duties and coordinates with the Chief of Cabin Crew and Director of Operations on matters relating to operating procedures.
The FA/LM-I will maintain flight attendant qualification in applicable aircraft and any special mission capabilities associated with flight operations in those aircraft.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (FA):
The lead flight attendant (FA) oversees on-site flight attendant duties.
Set goals, assigns tasks, and delegates duties with clear expectations and definitions of success.
Responsible for maintaining on-site equipment, training materiel, supplies and spares.
In coordination with Chief of Cabin Crew and Ground Ops, PM and site manager, disseminates information, reviews, policies and procedures.
Facilitates the integration of new flight attendant employees into the team. Ensures required Initial Operating Experience training is accomplished.
Receives passenger and baggage and reviews required documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Supervises passenger/baggage loading and off-loading operations and ensures passengers and baggage are positioned per load plans.
Conducts marshalling of vehicles around or near the aircraft.
Ensures availability of fleet service equipment (as applicable) and passenger comfort items.
Communicates and ensures compliance with company, government safety and security rules and procedures.
Accomplishes passenger briefings to include the use of emergency equipment, demonstrates the use of passenger emergency oxygen systems, life vests and evacuation procedures.
Operates mechanical and safety equipment such as oxygen systems, aircraft doors, fire extinguishers, life rafts, galley equipment, communication and lighting systems.
Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and passengers.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (General Helper):
Responsible for the general cleanliness of the Fixed Wing Hangar, including; sweeping hangar floors and wiping up oil/water/corrosion X slipping hazards on floor, cleaning work tables, and picking up trash in the facility and surrounding grounds.
Assist in the daily washing/rinsing of aircraft.
Wiping down the aircraft engine cowlings and landing gear structures post-flight.
Vacuum and mop aircraft interior post-flight.
Clean interior seats and windows as required.
Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of company pickup, golf carts, tugs, and other GSE items.
Other duties as assigned by the Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
Demonstrated leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Must be able to meet company fitness standards for cabin crew including safety sensitive positions, drug and ******* testing/screening programs, etc.
Have a good command of the English language, written, reading and speaking.
Preferred Experience:
Previous or current flight attendant experience.
Possess a good working knowledge and experience with MS Office or Office 365 computer programs and/or database programs.
Possess valid Passport.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., perform assigned flight attendant duties involving sitting for up to 10 flight hours per day and be exposed to a wide variety of environmental and weather conditions while working outside including, but not limited to, extreme heat, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
Must reside or be willing to relocate to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands.
Be able to open up escape hatches and assist passengers in exiting the aircraft in an emergency.
Be able to work in a variety of environments including indoor, outdoor, and austere operating environments.
