Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Real Estate Development Manager to oversee significant property development projects in Surat, Gujarat, IN . This hybrid role balances remote strategic planning with essential on-site project management.
You will be responsible for managing the entire development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility studies to design, construction, and project close-out. This includes identifying potential development opportunities, conducting market analysis, and securing necessary approvals and permits. You will lead and coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Financial modeling, budgeting, and securing project financing are also key responsibilities. You will manage stakeholder relationships, including investors, local authorities, and community groups. Developing and implementing project plans, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks are crucial. Ensuring compliance with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations is paramount. You will also oversee the marketing and sales strategy for completed developments. Building strong relationships with landowners and negotiating favorable terms will be a key part of the role.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is a plus. You should have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in real estate development, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects. Strong understanding of the real estate market, development processes, and financial analysis is required. Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and project management skills are essential. Familiarity with relevant software and tools for project management and financial modeling is expected.
