How you’ll contribute:
As one of our Aerial Equipment Shop Mechanics, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our on-site Heavy Construction and Aerial Equipment and keeping our fleet rental ready through:
Diagnosing, testing, and repairing on-site Elevated Work Platforms, including Boom, Scissor, Towable, Telescopic, Towable, and other aerial lifts.
Diagnosing, testing, and repairing on-site electrical/hydraulic/diesel construction equipment as needed.
Providing on-site maintenance services including oil changes, filter changes, light replacements, etc.
Possessing excellent product knowledge and effectively transferring this knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, safe operating techniques and promoting related accessories/products.
Ensuring that every customer is treated in the same fair and consistent manner and resolving issues as they arise.
Assisting in making decisions related to equipment retirement
Completing all work orders and related paperwork with respect to the service of equipment in order to preserve the integrity of our Rental Management computer system.
Following the appropriate checklists and procedures including reading and referring to owner’s manuals and schematics when repairing equipment.
Maintaining inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of our Rental Management system.
Operating and testing equipment and, where possible, under actual operating conditions.
Adhering to and promoting our Company Safety Policies, including wearing required PPE
Completing other duties as assigned
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 21 years of age
Valid G Drivers License and clean drivers abstract
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
Heavy Equipment trades certification is a strong asset
Minimum of 3-4 years of Heavy Equipment repair experience, specifically with Aerial Work Platforms
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge and/or experience with diesel & gas fuel engines and electric/hydraulic systems
