We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our mission to provide excellence in food manufacturing.
In this leadership position, you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for guiding day-to-day departmental operations while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with our Front Line Leaders and maintenance staff to ensure our facilities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Leadership & Team Development
Provide direction and mentorship to Front Line Leaders and employees
Organize and oversee daily maintenance activities and production support
Ensure job quality and productivity through effective planning and follow-up
Promote a positive work environment where team members feel valued and supported
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvements
Oversee preventative maintenance and timely completion of work orders
Identify and implement solutions that increase efficiency and reduce downtime
Maintain accurate records in compliance with food safety standards
Budget & Administration
Manage departmental budget and track expenses
Monitor team performance metrics, reporting variances and adjusting plans accordingly
Communication & Teamwork
Act as a liaison between employees and management
Lead team meetings and share important updates effectively
Collaborate across departments to support company-wide goals
️ Food Safety & Compliance
Uphold HACCP, SQF, and food safety protocols
Support and train team members in food safety procedures and good manufacturing practices
Ensure continuous departmental accountability to the Food Safety and Quality Plan
What You Bring to FG Deli Group:
Red Seal Millwright ticket
Proven leadership in a manufacturing or maintenance environment (food industry preferred)
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and production workflows
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and work order tracking systems
Experience with HACCP, SQF, GMP, and WorkSafeBC compliance (training available)
Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and safety
