Job description
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine present and forecasted financial health of the company
• Present potential scenarios and outcomes to management team
• Manage the preparation and publication of monthly departmental and organization financial documents
• Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
• Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations
• Review internal control processes and drive continuous improvement of accounting controls and processes.
• Meet the reporting requirements of external agencies like Banks, Statutory Auditors and Legal professionals on a ongoing basis.
• Financial Budgeting and Cost management – Prepare annual financial budgets and prepare the monthly variance reports versus budget for managements review and timely decisions. Suggest cost optimization ideas after thorough review of existing cost trends and opportunities to right size the same.
• Overall accounting management. Responsible for bookkeeping, tax and other accounting activities, issue financial statements on time.
• Develop 2-3 subordinates and delegate basis accounting activities to these subordinates so as to focus on larger and more important financial improvement needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required (MBA preferred) / Inter CA / ICWA preferred.
• 8+ years’ of relevant experience in a mid-sized manufacturing company of repute.
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and accounting software like Tally, Zoho, SAP etc…
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective communication in English and local language and good presentation skills.
• Must have directly managed a team of at-least 2 members.
• Self-motivated and delivers on agreed timelines
• Candidates from Manufacturing Industry Preferred
