Job Description
As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely NAVs by performing various reconciliation tasks between client's general ledger data and market data providers. This role requires a good blend of product knowledge and technology expertise.
The role involves accounting for corporate actions, booking trading and non-trading accruals, pricing portfolios, computing and analyzing profit and loss. You will coordinate with clients and external sources to resolve break issues under tight deadlines.
To succeed in this position, you must have excellent communication skills, maintain quality delivery according to standard operating procedures, and work effectively with MS Excel and formulas.
This critical role demands:
• Managing open and closed-ended hedge funds with trade reconciliation and integration.
• Accounting and booking corporate action trades.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly GAV/NAV preparation involving capital activities booking, market value reconciliation, profit and loss computation, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, bond coupon accrual reconciliation, and trial balance ledgers tie-up.
We seek a candidate with the following qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience.
• In-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).
• Strong knowledge of financial and capital markets products, including equity, bonds, futures, options, and FX forwards.
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and formulas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
