MASSIVE is looking to hire a trainee CA with good number-crunching abilities and attention to detail to work as CA Article Assistant for all entities under the MASSIVE banner!
We are hiring for Gurgaon location.
MASSIVE comprises a collective of climate-tech companies – a climate-tech VC Fund (Climate Angels Fund), a non-profit (Massive Earth Foundation), an incubator/accelerator (GoMassive Incubators Pvt Ltd) and an EV Charging Infra startup (Massive Mobility Pvt Ltd) - all engaged in building a climate ecosystem with the aim to support niche climate-tech innovations and startups in India & abroad. Our diverse initiatives span e-mobility, climate-tech investment, networking, incubation, deep-dive research, and fostering growth of next-generation climate technologies.
The Role:
As CA Article Assistant, you will be required to assist in all finance & accounts-related responsibilities for all MASSIVE entities. In the process, you will gain hands-on experience in fund accounting, NGO accounting, compliance & regulatory filing, and general accounts & finances of operating companies.
Responsibilities:
1. Audit and Assurance:
• Assist in conducting internal and external audits.
• Perform substantive and analytical testing of financial statements.
• Review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS, GAAP).
• Assist in preparation of audit reports and documentation.
2. Taxation:
• Support the preparation and filing of direct & indirect tax returns (Income Tax, GST, etc.).
• Assist in tax audits and tax planning for businesses.
• Research and update knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
3. Accounting & Book-keeping:
• Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Help in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger entries, and general book-keeping tasks.
4. Financial Analysis:
• Assist in preparing financial reports and forecasts.
• Analyse financial data and assist in budgeting and cost control activities.
5. Compliance & Regulatory Filings:
• Ensure adherence to various legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., Company Law, Taxation Laws).
• Assist in statutory audits, compliance checks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
6. Administrative Support:
• Assist in maintaining accounting related files, correspondence, and other essential documentation for future reference.
• Help in scheduling meetings, coordinating audit sessions, and following up on pending assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements:
• B.Com. / M.Com grads pursuing CA and eligible for Articleship under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, RealBook, etc).
• Experience of using Zoho Expenses.
• Ability to interpret financial data, spot discrepancies, and understand financial performance.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Should have OCD regarding numbers.
