Job Description
We're seeking a Full Time Materials Assistant to join the team at our busy outpatient surgery center!
The Materials Assistant is responsible for serving as the primary assistant to the Materials Manager and Office Manager in maintaining, stocking, and organizing supplies, instruments, and other equipment within the surgery center. This position may additionally incorporate ordering/purchasing of supplies and other equipment. The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 6:00 AM -2:00 PM. Job requirements include:
Experience in supply maintenance/inventory management.
Demonstrated knowledge of proper sterile packaging, shelf-life, and storage criteria for maintenance of sterility.
Demonstrated knowledge of the treatment of contaminated cases and the disposal of waste and sharps.
Experience working with a diverse workforce.
Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly ambulatory surgery centers and medical offices.
