The Role
Here at Healthcare Logistics (HCL) we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who is motivated, dynamic and passionate about this exciting therapeutic area to join the team working solely for one of our Principals in the aesthetics industry.
Based out of Auckland and reporting to the Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will facilitate the exchange of medical/scientific information between the company and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), including Trainers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the provision of both injectable products and medical devices.
As such your passion for interacting with experts in the aesthetics industry, sharing scientific information and building strong relationships will be critical to your success.
This is an exciting role that is varied and will be split between working from your home office based in Auckland, as well as national (5-10 days per month) and international travel to Australia (3-4 times per year), training and presenting to Healthcare Professional and customers.
What you will do:
Support in-field medical/scientific information and training needs of KOLs, trainers and HCPs;
Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and the current standard of care (including competitor products) and investigational compound information;
Provide key medical support delivering scientific presentations and education of the company portfolio to external stakeholders;
Cross function collaboration with the sales and marketing teams in communicating scientific intelligence and clinical insights identified through interactions with HCPs, KOLs and Trainers;
Conduct in-service training on scientific/medical information content at Product Informational Speaker Training events;
In-field interface between Merz and HCPs/KOLs/Trainers, providing deep and advanced practical medical/scientific information relating to best practice injectable product expertise and ultrasound guided techniques.
What we are looking for:
Experience in a medical-based position, ideally in a Medical Science Liaison role, with a preference for experience in aesthetics;
At least 3+ years’ experience working within a corporate pharmaceutical environment, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects on the go;
Advanced degree in health sciences (MSc., PharmD, Ph.D. in a medically related field) with solid relevant clinical or aesthetics experience;
Teaching or training and presentation experience;
Expertise in literature identification and evaluation;
Familiarity with the academic community, medical research and medical education process;
Strong time management and organisational skills;
Demonstrated success in autonomously, self-managing priorities and multi-tasking projects;
Ability to work effectively and share information within a team environment.
