Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the accounting and finance functions of our organization. This involves overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Forecast industry trends and advise leadership on strategic decisions
• Execute appropriate tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Improve and document accounting control procedures and maintain complete accounts using accounting software
• Comply with state and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation
• Gather and analyze reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, revenue forecasts, budgets, and cash-flow statements
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information and reconcile any discrepancies
• Handle AP, verify payment documentation, reference outstanding bills, update debt balance, and conduct disbursement
• Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and investigating discrepancies
Requirements
• 10+ years corporate accounting experience
• Personal integrity, ability to keep customer and company confidences
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• Experience in audit and accounting
