LLB Architects, located at the Design Exchange in Pawtucket, RI, and in Worcester MA, is a full-service architecture firm with a diverse array of projects and clients. This process depends upon an office that is as well run as our projects.
Job description
After 10 years, our wonderful office manager is retiring!
Therefore, we are looking for our next office manager (30 hours/week) to handle all aspects of administration and human resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the management of a small business (preferably in a creative organization) and be prepared to take initiative in a busy office. Specifics include:
• General office management duties: managing physical offices, the full range of tasks such as answering the phones, maintaining files, keeping the office tidy, etc.
• All human resource functions, to include assisting with annual benefit plan renewals.
• Executive Assistant functions, such as scheduling, meeting notes, and help with organization
• Develop and maintain organizational systems
• Organizing meetings and events
Qualifications
We work on large, complex projects with tight deadlines, and we need someone who can “take the reins” and provide a high level of well-orchestrated support. This is a job for a seasoned office manager who has held this position elsewhere. Candidates must come to the job already possessing the qualifications outlined below.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs quickly
• Articulate and well spoken
• A solid command of the office manager role and a proven track record of managing an operation of similar size (approximately 25 people)
• Excellent writing and information distillation skills
• Unflappable in a fast-paced environment
• Must have reliable transportation
