Optical Dispenser – Part-Time (Including Rotating Saturdays)
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for eye care, outstanding customer service skills, and an interest in fashion-forward eyewear? Eyecentric in Manuka, Canberra, is seeking a dedicated Optical Dispenser to join our team.
About the Role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our optometrists, providing high-quality optical dispensing services while assisting with administrative and clinical support. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy helping patients select the perfect eyewear. The position includes rotating Saturday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on lens and frame selection to meet patients’ needs
Perform optical dispensing, including adjustments and repairs
Support the optometrist with pre-testing and patient care
Assist with contact lens teaching and dry eye treatments (training provided)
Maintain organised and up-to-date patient records
Contribute to the practice’s merchandising and visual presentation
Opportunity to manage and create content for the practice’s social media accounts

Who You Are:
Experience in optical dispensing or an interest in developing dispensing skills
