About the role
As the Coordinator Parks Maintenance, you will manage a skilled team responsible for maintaining a wide range of park assets including footpaths, lighting, playgrounds, seawalls, irrigation systems, and recreational facilities. You’ll work closely with the Parks and Streetscape unit to deliver high-quality service, support strategic planning and capital works.
Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open spaces.
Oversee inspections, audits, and repairs of assets including playgrounds, pathways, lighting, and waterplay parks.
Collaborate on asset management plans and provide input on design development.
Manage contractors and consultants to ensure service delivery standards are met.
Promote a culture of safety, diversity, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
Enhance digital capability and service delivery through technology.

Remuneration
$105,050.92 - $116,577.24 + Civil Liability Allowance (if applicable) + Access to Motor Vehicle Lease Back + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
Essential Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant equivalent industry experience in the maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open space
Experience leading and managing a customer-focused team
Demonstrated financial and budget management, procurement, and contract management experience
Experience in contract administration and contractor supervision
Knowledge of and commitment to equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice and acting with probity at all times
Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework or experience in development and execution of improvement initiatives or continuous improvement
Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
